The International Stamp Exhibition, 8 - 15 May 2010
Signing on behalf of London 2010 were Brian Trotter, Chairman of the Organising Committee, and Peter McCann, the FIP Consultant for the event. Present to witness the signing were Alexander Ilyushin, President of the Jury for the St Petersburg exhibition, and Viacheslav Klochko, who played a key part in the organisation of the event.
The exhibition will run from 8th to 15th May 2010 and will have some 2,460 competitive frames and about 200 trade and postal administrations' stands. A special feature will be an invited exhibition of 32 frames relating to King George V, adjacent to a seating area. The Business Design Centre is easily accessible by public transport, with Angel Underground station (Northern Line) less than 400 metres away and numerous bus routes passing nearby. Demand for trade stands has been heavy and all stands have been reserved. Anyone not yet having a stand reserved can be placed on a

London 2010 - Festival of Stamps will comprise a number of linked events focussed around the primary international philatelic exhibition, to be held at the Business Design Centre, Upper Street, Islington, London N1. An Advisory Board has been established to oversee the integration of the various aspects of the Festival, its membership being drawn from The British Library, the British Postal Museum and Archive, the Royal Philatelic Collection and the Royal Philatelic Society London.
The formal contract between the organisers of the London 2010 International Stamp Exhibition and FIP, the International Federation of Philately, was signed in St Petersburg during the World Stamp Exhibition held in that city.

The British Postal Museum and Archive will present its own central exhibition, "Empire Mail: George V and the GPO" at the Guildhall Art Gallery. This will open on 7th May 2010 and will run until 25th July. Other events will be taking place at the British Library, the British Museum, the Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Museum, Lords Cricket Ground, the Royal Botanical Gardens at Kew and a number of other locations.
