Competitive exhibits

There were some 2400 competitive frames available, comprising 1200 frames on show from 8 to 11 May, with the exhibits then changed for a different 1200 frames from 12 to 15 May.

In the first phase (8 to 11 May 2010), entries in Class 1 Traditional, Class 4 Revenues, Class 5 Postal Stationery, Class 7 Youth One-Frame and Class 9 One-Frame Exhibits with a link to George V were shown.

In the second phase (12 to 15 May 2010), entries in Class 2 Postal History, Class 3 Aerophilately and Class 6 Thematic Philately were shown.

Entries in Class 8 Philatelic Literature were on display in a philatelic reading area throughout the duration of the Exhibition.

The London 2010 International Stamp Exhibition was granted full FIP Patronage as a World Exhibition and all the competitive part of the exhibition was run according to FIP standards. The contract for FIP Patronage was officially signed at the St Petersburg International Exhibition.
